This abstract painting was inspired by my memories of the small town schoolhouse on the hill (Schoolhouse Rock references notwithstanding). I chose to focus on the approach to the hill with its layers of topography as a color exploration opportunity. This painting another in a continuing series of landscape paintings that are the basis for minimalist color theory explorations.
